• Fishing - Tumut is a great place for trout fishing, especially at Blowering Dam and the Tumut and Goobarragandra Rivers.
  
  
• Hume and Hovell Walking Track - 370 kilometres in length, this walking track runs through the Snowy Mountains and features spectacular scenery. It bypasses the towns of Tumut and Tumbarumba as well as the Blowering Reservoir. The track can be joined at any stage with a number of picnic areas along the way.
  
  
• Tumut River Walk - A pleasant walk which begins at Elm Drive and follows the banks of the Tumut River for around 1.5 kilometres.
