Historical Society Museum
- Features a collection of memorabilia from the Tumut area.
Blowering Dam and Reservoir
- Located 15 kilometres south of Tumut, the dam and reservoir provide a number of picnic areas as well as spectacular views of the Tumut River and access to boat ramps.

Tumut Valley Violets
- Contains a collection of over 900 different African Violets as well as a fernery and display of local arts and crafts.

Snowy Mountains Scheme
- The Snowy Mountains Scheme is one of the most complex integrated water and hydro-electric power schemes in the world. 16 major dams, 7 power stations, a pumping station, 145 kms of inconnected trans-mountain tunnels and 80km of aqueducts make up one of the greatest engineering feats in Aust. history. Tours are available at Tumut 3 Power Station in Talbingo and visitor centres & viewing area located throughout the mountains.

Fishing
- Tumut is a great place for trout fishing, especially at Blowering Dam and the Tumut and Goobarragandra Rivers.
Hume and Hovell Walking Track
- 370 kilometres in length, this walking track runs through the Snowy Mountains and features spectacular scenery. It bypasses the towns of Tumut and Tumbarumba as well as the Blowering Reservoir. The track can be joined at any stage with a number of picnic areas along the way.
Tumut River Walk
- A pleasant walk which begins at Elm Drive and follows the banks of the Tumut River for around 1.5 kilometres.

- A range of recreational facilities are available such as golf, squash and tennis.
Snow
- Located just 40 minutes from Tumut, Selwyn Snowfields is your "winter playground". Skiing, snowborading, tobogganing, snow tubing, snow shoeing, snow sculptures, cross country skiing or just relaxing the day away in a beautiful mountain environment.
